Jackson College Career Resources

Jackson College's Corporate and Continuing Education Department also offers many other services for students and alumni in search of job opportunities. There are skills workshops, links to career resources from around the state, and examples of resumes and cover letters to help get you started.

The Bureau of Labor and Statistics compiles the Occupational Outlook Handbook - an excellent resource for anyone who is exploring different types of careers. It includes background information on hundreds of job types, including necessary education, growth prospects, and salary ranges. It also features lists of the fastest growing and highest paying jobs.


Michigan Career Explorer

The Michigan Career Explorer is a great tool created by Michigan Talent Connect. It features the Career Matchmaker, which matches your abilities with a variety of careers, and the Career Investment Calculator, which will help you balance the long-term costs of the career you want with the education and training you will need.
